Why Choose Laser Hair Removal?

Long-Term Solution

Laser hair removal permanently destroys hair follicles so the hair will not grow back, producing long-lasting results.

Reduced Ingrown Hair

Unlike methods like shaving or waxing that can lead to ingrown hair, laser hair removal helps minimize their occurrence by targeting the hair follicle.

Fast

Hair removal sessions are brief, particularly for facial areas, which typically require only around 15 minutes.

Cost saving

Despite the initial high cost of treatment, it offers long term cost savings as overtime, you will spend less on items like razors, waxing appointments etc.

Time Saving

Only annual touch-ups are required after completion of the initial sessions, resulting in significant time savings.

Minimal Discomfort

Modern laser systems come with built-in cooling mechanisms that help soothe the skin during treatment, enhancing overall comfort.

Soprano Titanium Laser

The Soprano Titanium laser combines the power of three lasers, Alexandrite, Diode, and Nd:YAG, into a single system, effectively targeting hair follicles for optimal results across a wide range of skin types and hair colors.

This advanced laser is virtually painless and keeps the skin cool during treatment, ensuring a comfortable experience. It is suitable for all skin types, including darker and tanned skin, which have traditionally been more challenging to treat. Its large spot size and rapid repetition rate allow for efficient coverage and faster sessions, even for larger areas of the body.

The multiple wavelengths penetrate the skin at different depths, targeting hair follicles on several levels simultaneously. Recognized worldwide, the Soprano Titanium laser is a trusted system celebrated for its safety, effectiveness, and high patient satisfaction.

Everything You Need to Know About Laser Hair Removal

How does laser hair removal work?

Laser hair removal works by destroying the hair follicles to permanently reduce hair growth. The laser emits a concentrated beam of light, which is absorbed by the melanin in the hair and converted into heat, damaging the hair follicle. This prevents future hair growth while keeping the surrounding skin safe.

When will the results be visible?

Following each treatment, the hair remains visible as the follicle is the part that has been damaged by the laser, not the hair shaft. The hair will eventually fall out in the next few weeks as it is pushed out of the hair shaft. A 10 โ€“ 25% reduction in hair can be expected after the first treatment. Typically, up to 80% clearance is expected after 6-8 sessions, and additional sessions are suggested as needed to maintain the results.

How long do the effects of laser hair removal last?

For many people, laser hair removal removes unwanted hair near-permanently. Most people remain hair-free for months, or even years! Some see a significant reduction in the thickness of hair that may grow over time. However, laser hair removal is not permanent as many external factors can stimulate hair growth such as stress and hormonal fluctuations etc.

What are the areas that can be treated with laser hair removal?

Unwanted hair from any part of the body can be safely eliminated by laser hair removal, due to the high precision of the treatment. Here are the body parts from which hair can be easily removed by laser hair removal:

  • Lower body โ€“ feet, legs, buttocks, bikini area
  • Face โ€“ chin, jaw, side burns, cheeks, ears, eyebrows, nose
  • Upper body โ€“ hands, arms, under arms, abdomen, chest, shoulders, back

How do I prepare for the treatment?

You should ensure that the treatment area is freshly shaved i.e., shave a day or 2 before your appointment. However, avoid plucking, hair removing creams or waxing the hair as these methods remove the hair follicles, which are the target for the laser.

Aftercare instructions for laser hair removal treatment:

  • Avoid plucking or waxing any hair on the treated area as it can possibly stimulate the hair follicle, leading to regrowth.
  • Avoid body scrubs, deodorants and lotions with perfumes on areas that have undergone treatment to avoid irritation.
  • Avoid hot showers/baths and steam rooms for at least 48 hours after the treatment.
  • Avoid direct sunlight and getting tanned after your treatment since your skin will be sensitive after laser hair removal. If time is spent outdoors, make sure to apply sunblock with an SPF of at least 40.
  • Avoid scratching on treated areas as it can break the skin, causing a scab which can lead to scarring.

What are the possible side effects of laser hair removal?

Minor side effects of laser hair removal treatment are common. They include mild swelling, temporary pigment changes and slight redness of the skin. However, you should contact your doctor immediately if you experience burns, blisters, scars, skin discoloration, swelling that doesnโ€™t subside after 3 days, infections and pain that canโ€™t be relieved with medication.
